Kokeb Studio is an art practice based in the Bay Area originated from the concept of providing a space and representation of contemporary Black art inspired by artist Net Tesfay’s African heritage, diaspora experiences and passion for activism. 

The word Kokeb is derived from the Amharic language of Ethiopia meaning “star”, a great reminder of the essence and reflection of magic seen in the shared connection we make through art and creativity.
