Welcome to Kobeb Studio.

Kokeb Studio is an art practice based in the Bay Area that originated from the concept of providing space and representation for contemporary Black art. This concept was inspired by artist Net Tesfay’s African heritage, diaspora experiences, and passion for activism.

The word "Kokeb" is derived from the Amharic language of Ethiopia, meaning "star"—a great reminder of the essence and reflection of magic seen in the shared connection we make through art and creativity.
